Join our Finance Development team to manage and develop master data in Source-to-Pay processes at Fortum.

About the role
We are looking for a Master Data Subject Matter Expert (SME), Source-to-Pay (S2P) to join Fortum's Finance Development in Group Finance. You will be responsible for leading the development of the S2P master data management process. You will have a key role in implementing new master data processes and tools as part of EPR renewal project during the coming years. You participate on blueprinting, testing and implementation of the new ERP.

You will have a pivotal role in developing the master data process including cleansing, enriching and maintenance of the data in S2P tools. In collaboration with the stakeholders, you will be a key person to drive master data related improvement actions forward.

Additionally, you will work on other S2P master data related development initiatives, transformation projects and continuous process improvements.

Your key responsibilities include, e.g.:

  • Driving a seamless end-to-end process design and implementation in master data management processes within the Source-to-Pay

  • Develop and manage the S2P master data (mainly related to Vendor Master data and Material Master data)

  • Serve as a "subject matter expert" in the finance ERP renewal project, leadings the definition and implementation

  • Define and blueprint the ERP functionalities for own area

  • Implement best practices and ensure that S2P master data processes are streamlined, efficient, and meet requirements.

  • Ensuring data quality, operational transparency and continuous improvement in our processes

  • Managing communication and collaboration amongst cross-functional stakeholders such as Business Units, Procurement, IT and Finance teams

  • Oversee implementation and training

  • Create and maintain master data related documentation

  • Identify and understand requirements and gaps in solutions and effectively conducts change management.

About you
To be successful in this role you have:

  • Suitable degree or equivalent competencies in e.g. procurement, product management or technology, and preferably 5 years of working experience in a relevant field (Source-to-Pay)

  • Proven track record with master data management and master data governance preferably in a large-scale, global organization
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions for/within ERP systems

  • Capabilities to work independently and in a matrix organization

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Continuous improvement mindset where you seek best practices

  • Strong analytical skills and end-to-end process thinking

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate efficiently across teams and stakeholders

  • Fluent written and spoken English, competences in Finnish / Swedish is an advantage.

  • Good technical capabilities working with ERP's and Procurement solutions, familiarity on data connectivity between technologies and integrations

  • Proven track record in driving change / implementing complex change

  • Experience in ERP implementation and transformation are considered as advantage

  • Can-do attitude
