In PEU RAN Automation and Operations in RAN Software & Compute Platforms Engineering we are looking for a manager, reporting to the Head of PEU RAO Systems, to lead the RAN O&M Assurance section team of 10+ engineers and be a part of the RAN Automation and Operations Systems leadership team.
The RAN O&M Assurance team drives the system journey for RAN assurance, observability and troubleshooting, including the correlation between the RAN application and the CaaS layer. Your area of responsibility connects to many parts of the portfolio this job is done in close collaboration with programs, Product Line, Technology & Systems, Customer experience, Network Management (BCSS) and others.
As a Product Development Leader and Manager, you will mentor, challenge and develop individuals, teams, and organizations. You will, in addition to leading your team, work with developing strategies, support programs, drive improvements and change, and contribute to the objectives of the engineering unit and business unit. In PEU RAO System we collaborate closely across our sites, located in Sweden, Poland, and Ireland, and within the leadership team.
What you will do:
• Lead your team towards the future by setting clear targets, growing the individuals, and creating a culture in line with the company core values and Ericsson on the Move focus areas.
• Evolve and own the system strategy for RAN assurance to enable Ericsson's strategic vison, in collaboration with stakeholders, lines, and programs.
• Secure strategy execution in area of responsibility in line with business priorities through your team's contribution in programs, own line activities, and collaboration with others.
• Proactively manage stakeholders to pave the way for your team, thereby enabling fact-based business decisions, innovation, and effective system evolution.
• Promote and incubate new ideas to create future business opportunities for PEU RAO and BNEW to lead networks of the future.
• Drive improvements and change with aim to simplify wherever possible, digitalize and automate to optimize effectiveness and efficiency, and increase use of methods for systematic innovation and data-driven insights to identify customer value and develop better products.
The skills you bring:
• Brave, curious, and empathetic leadership, providing clear direction and setting appropriate standards of behaviour through strong integrity. Demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication.
• Well-structured, analytical and result oriented with a strategic system level perspective using prioritization to balance short- and long-term goals.
• Solid technical foundation coupled with business awareness, a customer centric mentality and a value driven approach. Experience with developing products for large and/or complex domains.
• Cross-organization networking and collaboration skills with an ability to shift perspectives and connect with people in different roles and on various organizational levels.
• Passion to drive innovation and change. Clarity, listening skills and ability to inspire people.
• Leadership experience (line, project or technical) from roles involving system engineering, product engineering, product/portfolio management or similar.
• Knowledge of Radio Access Networks. Experience from Operations and Maintenance, Data Science, Data Engineering or Cloud technology is a merit.
