Lead Architect

About the Job
The Lead MZ/PE Architect will work in one of our two main product areas, where our classic offerings called Mediation Zone and Private Edition are created. All product development is done by our own teams in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Östersund and Kuala Lumpur.

The Lead MZ/PE Architect role will report directly to our global Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• You will own and drive the software architecture work for both of these products, which have around 90% shared codebase.
• You will lead and prioritize work through collaboration, coaching, and decision-making. And you'll do some coding as well.
• You will be working closely with PM/POs for these products, balancing business requirements and technical must-haves together.

You will also be involved in other things; anything from leading investigations and improving quality to coaching AI-assisted development or recommending changes to priorities.

The support around you
You will work right next to a lot of good help; software engineering teams, PMs/POs, Security Architect, Lead Architect for the other product, management, Support, Product Documentation, etc.

About you

• You have extensive experience developing transaction-safe and high-performing enterprise software in Java, including leading architectural work. If your experience is related to advanced integration or mediation, that's even better.
• You are of course very skilled technically, but you are also communicative. You are comfortable leading meetings, explaining, discussing and collaborating,
  and you can prioritize, take in feedback and make decisions.
• You have a strong Java developer background, even if you may not be spending 100% of your time coding these days.
• You are quite comfortable working with cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure/OCI) as well as with Docker and Kubernetes - and with Kafka and various databases.
• We often speak English in our offices, so your English needs to be good. If you also speak Swedish - great.
  If not, you can learn that on the job.
