About the Assignment

As a Lab Engineer in a product lab environment, you will help accelerate the development of innovative products by turning ideas into validated concepts through prototyping and reliable testing. The role sits at the heart of the R&D process and combines hands-on experimentation with a structured approach to ensure lab work supports both product performance and broader development goals. You will work in a cross-functional, global context where mechanics, electronics and software converge, contributing to improved lab capabilities, measurement solutions and efficient validation workflows.

Job DescriptionDesign, execute and refine test setups to validate prototypes against functional and performance requirements across mechanical, electrical and software domains

Collaborate with design, development and test teams to align lab activities with R&D objectives

Develop measurement methods and ensure high standards in data collection, analysis and reporting to support design decisions

Identify and implement tools, methods and processes that improve lab efficiency, precision and scalability

Troubleshoot complex issues in early-stage prototypes using systems thinking and hands-on experimentation

Contribute technical insights and lab-based evidence that support product direction and technology roadmaps

RequirementsStrong problem-solving and analytical ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges across mechanics, electronics and software

Cross-disciplinary technical competence in mechanics, electronics and embedded systems, with the ability to design and run integrated test setups

Experience communicating technical insights and test results to cross-functional and global stakeholders

Systems thinking to connect lab activities with wider product and business goals

Ability to take initiative and drive continuous improvements in lab processes, tools and workflows

Comfort working in a global organization and coordinating work across international teams

Data-driven approach to experiment design, data quality and decision support

Nice to haveExperience contributing to lab infrastructure or process improvements that increase efficiency, scalability or quality
