As our Junior Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and quality of the Legal Team's support. By collaborating closely with senior members, you will help streamline legal processes, ensuring that the Alight business and other teams receive timely and top-notch legal assistance.
The role is part-time (approximately 8-16 hours per week) and can be carried out in a hybrid-remote setup from our HQ in Stockholm. We would ideally like someone who can start during June or July and continue with us beyond the summer. That said, we also welcome applications from candidates who are only available during the summer or later in the fall.

The role has a high focus and drive to work in the clean energy and sustainability sector. The job tasks encompass environmental law, administrative law and EU law, and covers topics such as anti-money laundering, sustainability, amongst others.
To be a good fit for this role, we believe you are currently enrolled in a law degree program at a university in Uppsala or Stockholm. You are eager to find a meaningful extra job to build on your knowledge and have at least one year left of your studies. Most likely, you have experience working in an administrative role in a high-demanding environment in which you successfully managed both repetitive and ad-hoc tasks.

- Drafting, reviewing, and proofreading commercial agreements relevant for Alight's business
- Corporate administration such as filings with authorities and preparation and proofreading of corporate documents
- Carrying out legal research and supporting with monitoring regulatory developments within markets where Alight is active and on the Swedish and EU level
- Sanctions/AML compliance screenings on stakeholders
- General day-to-day administrative and ad hoc support to the Legal Team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong academic performance with at least one year completed in a law education from a Swedish university (please attach grades in application)
- Currently enrolled in a law program in Uppsala/Stockholm with at least two years remaining of your studies
- Experience working in an administration-heavy role, ideally as an assistant at a law firm or in another organization that requires a high level of detail orientation
- An empathic mindset and willingness to provide legal support on various tasks
- Ability to work on-site at our office in central Stockholm (hybrid-remote)
- Fluency in Swedish and English
