Japanese language instructorFolkuniversitetet in Stockholm offers a wide range of language courses for the public. We are continually developing our range of courses and wish to connect with experienced language instructors who can teach adults for a few hours per week-mainly in the evenings.
We are looking for Japanese language instructors for the spring semester, primarily for physical classroom courses in the evenings and on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Teaching, preparing, planning, and following up on lessons. Taking part in course development as agreed.
- Contributing to quality assurance by understanding participants' expectations before the course and evaluating feedback after the course ends.
- Maintaining contact with participants between lessons regarding course content, such as preparation or homework.
What we're looking for
Language instructors at Folkuniversitetet must have:
- Good IT skills.
- Good administrative skills
- Expertise in the subject/professional experience in Japanese.
- Experience of teaching Japanese to adults.
- Proficiency in Swedish and/or English.
Your proficiency in the teaching language should be equivalent to that of a native speaker, and we would prefer you to have a relevant academic degree. We are looking for someone who has the willingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, has good social and initiative skills, a positive attitude towards change and development, and shares the values of our organisation.
