Haeger & Carlsson is looking for highly qualified candidates for a consultancy assignment as Head of Strategic Business Development. To apply for this assignment, you shall have proven track record in managing M&A transactions within the in vitro diagnostics field. This consultancy role offers a unique opportunity to shape strategic initiatives at a critical juncture for our client-a pioneering diagnostics company operating in a rapidly transforming global market.

Start: Q1 2026

Duration:6-12 months, extendable

Scope:1-2 days per week

Placement:Sweden, Nordics

Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven track-record of identifying, structuring and negotiating strategic partnerships, M&A transactions, or licensing deals, preferably with global diagnostic players
  • Strong industry network within the in vitro diagnostics field
  • Solid understanding of the in vitro diagnostic market, including workflows within the laboratory sector
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.

  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting to and collaborating with executive leadership teams, board of directors and investors
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
