We are looking for a commercially driven and proactive Indirect Procurement Manager to lead and optimize indirect procurement across McDonald's Nordic organization. This is a newly created role and this position reports directly to the Nordic Supply Chain Director and can be based in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, or Helsinki. The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for driving cost efficiency, strengthening supplier performance, and implementing structured sourcing strategies across categories such as IT, marketing, facilities management, professional services, and other non-product-related areas.

You will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance while aligning procurement activities with business and sustainability objectives. The position requires translating spend data and market insights into tangible cost savings, operational efficiencies, and long-term strategic value for McDonalds.

McDonalds is the largest restaurant chain in the Nordics, serving iconic products like the Big Mac® and their world-famous fries to 700.000 guests every day. McDonalds have approximately 25.000 employees in around 510 restaurants, delivering a great restaurant experience to their guests. Most of the McDonalds restaurants are owned and operated by local franchisees.

Food Folk Group owns the licensee rights for McDonalds in the Nordics since 2017 and you will be joining the journey to develop McDonalds. The Nordic support office organization consists of around 220 colleagues. The organization is built on a matrix structure, where about half of the employees are working locally in one of their four markets and half are working in Nordic functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for indirect categories across the Nordic region. Lead supplier relationship management, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements to ensure compliance and favorable terms.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities while supporting budget and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Marketing, Development, Finance) to support procurement needs and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Nordic legal and regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably within a multicultural Nordic organization.
  • Strong commercial acumen and procurement expertise
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and confident in leading negotiations and initiatives.
  • Analytical, structured, and strategic, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and one Nordic language
