Job summary

An IDMC (Informatica Data Management Cloud) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and IDMC.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Design, develop, and implement data integration workflows using Informatica IDMC (IICS).

• Build and maintain mappings, tasks, and pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

• Re-engineer legacy ETL processes for cloud-native execution.

• Integrate IDMC with cloud platforms like Azure, and Snowflake and other data warehouses

• Implement data cataloging and metadata management for improved data discovery

• Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs for data exchange and automation

• Configure connections to cloud storage services (S3, ADLS, GCS).

• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies.

• Implement data quality rules, profiling, and cleansing using IDMC capabilities.

• Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and security policies.

• Conduct data reconciliation between Teradata and Snowflake post-migration.

• Implement validation frameworks to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.

• Document migration processes, best practices, and technical solutions.

• Provide production support for IDMC jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud Tools.

• Knowledge of components such as Data Integration, Application Integration, Cloud Mass Ingestion, and Data Quality.

• Knowledge of deploying and managing Secure Agents

• Strong experience in ETL/ELT concepts, data modelling, and design and building data pipelines and transformation logic.

• Experience with metadata ingestion, data lineage, and classification.

• Working with REST/SOAP APIs for data exchange and automation.

• Basic scripting in Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

• Familiarity Azure for cloud-native data workflows.

• Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse.

• Ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and optimize SQL scripts.

• Experience in different batch processing and data loading/transformation strategies.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins).

• Understanding of data profiling, cleansing, and metadata management.

• Experience implementing role-based access control and security policies.
