As the Head of Solution Area Defense in Ericsson Mission Critical Networks, you will spearhead the strategic direction, portfolio management, and delivery excellence for Defense communication solutions.

This is a critical and highly visible role where you will represent the voice of the business area at the executive level ensuring offerings meet evolving operational needs.

What you will do

• Be the focal point for Ericsson's Defense strategy ensuring we build and deliver world class Defense communication technology
• Grow the business by 5x and double the size of the team to ensure Ericsson is the go-to partner for Defense clients globally
• Be a thought leader and strategic partner to executive customers, partners and governmental and Defense agencies
• Partner with cutting edge R&D teams and oversee product and solution development lifecycle from concept to delivery to maintain an innovative edge.

You will bring

• Deep understanding of Defense communications technology use cases and experience implementing this at scale
• Strong network and credibility in national and international Defense organisations, government agencies and companies selling to the Defense industry.
• Understanding of secure network architectures and Defense-specific requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills and ability to operate in complex international environments.

Leadership requirements

Strategic Vision - The ability to define a long-term strategy that aligns the mission-critical network solutions with Defense sector needs, national security priorities, and technological innovation trends.

Proven Industry Expertise - Extensive experience in Defense communications, secure network architectures, and military-grade solutions. A deep understanding of operational scenarios where networks must perform flawlessly under extreme conditions.

Stakeholder Engagement - Exceptional relationship-building skills with government officials, military leaders, industry partners, and internal executives to ensure consensus and value delivery.

Cross-functional Leadership - Ability to inspire, guide, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams-including engineers, project managers, and operations staff-while fostering collaboration and accountability.

Cultural and Ethical Awareness - Sensitivity to geopolitical contexts, ethical considerations, and compliance with international Defense regulations.
