About Radio & Transport Engineering:

Radio & Transport Engineering (RTE) is one of two Engineering Units in Business Area Networks (BNEW), responsible for the end-to-end development of Ericsson Radio and Transport products, including optimization of the development flows.

RTE vision is to master the art of product engineering - leveraging emerging technologies in a bionic environment to enable limitless connectivity for a sustainable future.

RTE wanted position is to deliver industry leading Radio, Microwave and RAN Transport solutions powered by Ericsson Silicon, enabled by empowered engineers creating customer value through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Business Operations and Program Office Unit (BOPO) leads the RTE R&D Strategy and key change initiatives for organization transformation, the capability and competence management, governance and operational excellence, and the Radio programs to deliver the best products that meet our customers' needs.

The Program Office unit in BOPO enables RTE to translate the strategic directions into operational reality, securing customer value short, mid, and long term.

We operate through a strong network within RTE and in close collaboration with other BNEW and Group Function units.

About this opportunity:

We are now recruiting for the Head of Program Office within RTE BOPO, who will report to Head of Business Operations and Program Office and be a member of the BOPO Leadership Team.

We are looking for leader, passionate about R&D program management, who thrives on driving large and complex assignments and operating in a multi-stakeholder environment, with high energy and strong business focus.

What you will do:

• As a member of the BOPO leadership team, define and execute on the global strategy and priorities

• Drive the Radio RA programs and other global programs spanning multiple PEUs and FUs

• Drive the global Radio program governance and continuously evolve it for efficiency, transparency and predictability to meet the customer and business needs

• Lead, coach and inspire a team of ~15 highly skilled and experienced Program Managers

• Create an environment that attracts and develops talents to lead highly complex and business critical programs

The skills you bring:

• Significant R&D project management experience from a global large development organization, with a demonstrated passion for organizing effective development in large scale projects

• Strong stakeholder management, effective communication, influence and ability to collaborate across organization borders

• Find it stimulating to work with teamwork and have a genuine interest in people

• Strong domain knowledge to have the needed credibility with our teams and suppliers

• Relevant tertiary qualification or commensurate working experience.

• Strategic and big picture thinking, with the ability to focus on delivering on your contribution to Network R&D today and into the future

• Authentic, courageous, and inspiring leadership with empathy and humanness, whilst building high performing teams and growing tomorrow's leaders

• Collaborates by default and looks to work together rather than compete, also holding your teams accountable for working as one Networks R&D

• Customer-first mindset and proactively build this in your team
