What you'll do at Elekta

We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal for our Business Line Neuro Solution's. This key role will provide strategic oversight for all legal matters and act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership as well as help shape legal strategy of the business function. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with a well-rounded background to contribute to a mission-driven company. The role is reporting to Head of Neuro Solutions, and the location will be in Stockholm city.

The responsibilities are:

• Provide clear, practical, and commercially grounded legal guidance to senior leadership on strategic initiatives and key business decisions.

• Shape and execute the legal and risk strategy for the Neuro Solutions business line.

• Independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements, including strategic partnerships, supplier agreements, and customer contracts.

• Lead legal aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.

• Own commercial, technical, and quality-related legal terms in supplier and partner agreements.

• Negotiate and execute agreements in line with authorization and governance policies.

• Manage litigation, arbitration, disputes, and settlement negotiations.

• Select, instruct, and oversee external counsel and legal service providers.

• Anticipate and mitigate legal and business risk through proactive advice and governance.

• Develop and implement best practices, contract templates, playbooks, and training to streamline legal and transactional processes.

• Provide targeted legal training to business leaders and teams.

• Act as a mentor and subject-matter expert to other legal team members.

• Ensure procurement procedures and documentation comply with quality system requirements.

Relevant knowledge, skills and competencies:

• Law degree from a top-tier law school; licensed to practice law.

• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification legal experience.

• Senior leadership experience within complex, regulated, or global organizations.

• Proven track record handling sophisticated commercial transactions and complex contract negotiations.

• Strong experience in M&A, corporate transactions, and dispute management.

• Solid understanding of laws and regulations related to patient data and privacy, corporate compliance, anti-corruption, and competition.

• Medical device or MedTech industry experience, including regulatory frameworks, strongly preferred.

• High integrity, sound judgment, and strong executive presence.

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to operate independently under pressure while driving change and alignment across the business.
