Head of Global Sourcing & Supply Chain

Gothenburg, Sweden

Icomera is looking for a Head of Global Sourcing & Supply Chain who will be responsible for overseeing the global sourcing strategy, procurement activities, and end-to-end supply chain operations. This senior leadership role ensures that the organization's sourcing and supply chain functions are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. It involves identifying and vetting potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing international relationships, and optimizing the cost and efficiency of the supply chain. The role requires deep expertise in supply chain management, procurement, and vendor relationships, as well as the ability to navigate complex international markets and lead cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence, the role reports to SVP Sourcing & Supply Chain. You will be part of our global team across all locations such as Italy, France and Sweden, where the Icomera HQ is located.

About the Job
  • Develop and implement global sourcing and supply chain strategies aligned with the Operation's overall business goals.
  • Lead the global sourcing and supply chain team to ensure operational effectiveness and deliver a seamless flow of goods and services across all markets. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance global sourcing and supply chain team that foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing and supply chain supports business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the end-to-end supply chain, optimizing logistics, inventory management, and production planning. Implement best practices in sourcing, procurement, and inventory control to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize data analytics and technology to enhance decision-making and forecasting accuracy.
  • Oversee global sourcing activities, including supplier identification, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers and ensure adherence to quality standards, sustainability goals, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Ensure sourcing practices align with the company's commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices. Evaluate suppliers on their environmental and social performance as well as supporting in the evaluation of information security posture.
  • Identify, asses, and select suppliers globally. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators, report on achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that sourcing and supply chain operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives in sourcing and product lifecycle management to meet the
  • company's environmental and social responsibility goals.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in global sourcing, procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for managing and mentoring teams with different scope of responsibilities in the supply chain
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related degree
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global sourcing strategies and managing international supply chains.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, including direct supervision and performance management of reports.
  • Proven track record of handling personnel matters such as conflicts and personnel issues
  • Experience in implementing sustainability and ethical sourcing programs.
  • 3-5 years' experience from the EMS industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environment.
  • Experience from similar product-oriented and/or software-oriented business is considered as an advantage
