Head of Expansion at Deichmann Nordic - based in Copenhagen

Do you want to grow with the largest shoe retailer in Europe?
We are looking for a Head of Expansion who will be responsible for our store portfolio across the Nordic countries and drive further expansion.
With our Nordic Head Office as base, you will have a key role in our team as responsible for the development of a suitable and profitable store portfolio within the Nordic region with reference to our Managing Director Nordic.
Our Head Office is based in the heart of Copenhagen. We are a group of dedicated employees, both Danish and Swedish, working in a casual, fun, and positive environment. We are focused on supporting our sales organisation and achieve growth and targets together.
Tasks:
Create and update the expansion plan for the respective countries
Select and evaluate potential new locations and calculate their profitability
Administration of existing store locations in terms of renegotiations and terminations
Monitoring all invoices related to the lease contract
Ongoing monitoring and estimation of retail and branch business (especially for shoe retail)
Personal profile:
Motivated, driven and goal oriented
An open teamplayer
Methodical with a detail oriented, and structured, work ethic
Good network within the Nordic retail and landlord/developer business
Appreciative of the cultural differences in the Nordic area
Strong negotiation skills
Experience:
+10 years of experience from within the retail industry, and therefore good knowledge of the whole business model
Experience with the retail property market in Nordic countries, either as retailer, or landlord/developer
Sound knowledge of lease contracts and legal matters
Used to critically analyse financial models
Language:
Business level in English and Danish or/and Swedish
Spoken German is an advantage
Expected traveling days within the region per year will be approximately 30-40 days.
