Head of Corporate Financial Control

We're looking for a Head of Corporate Financial Control to join us at Telia.

I'm Elena Denker t , Head of Corpora t e Control at Telia Company Group , and I'm searching for someone ready to grow with us. We're a supportive, forward-thinking team at Group Finance focused on ensuring robust financial management , driving performance insights, overseeing sustainability reporting, and continuously enhancing our finance capabilities across the organization .

As the Head of Corporate Financial Control, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of Telia's financial reporting, driving improvements in consolidation and accounting processes, and providing reliable financial insights to support key business decisions. You will lead a high- performing team and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and external auditors to maintain a strong governance and compliance framework.

As the Head of Corporate Financial Control, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing Telia Company's financial operations , ensuring reliable reporting, efficient group accounting, and continuous improvement of consolidation processes .

Y ou will lead the team responsible for group consolidation and reporting, the internal control framework (ICFR), accounting policies, and financial control for the parent company. You will lead an experienced team of nine professionals. The position is located in Solna, Sweden.

Key responsibilities :

• Lead and guide the Corporate Financial Control team, providing strategic direction and support for complex accounting matters.
  

• Oversee the consolidation of financial data across Telia Company Group, includ ing both legal and operational aspects , ensuring compliance with IFRS and accurate reporting in quarterly and annual statements.
  

• Manage and set requirements to optimize the consolidation system in order to improve efficiency and data quality.
  

• Serve as the primary point of contact with external auditors, coordinating audits , addressing queries and ensuring compliance.
  

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  

• Shape accounting policies and guidelines across the entire Telia Company Group.
  

• Own the Record to Report process, collaborating across units to streamline processes and enhance reporting quality.
  

What will help you thrive in this role:

• Strong expertise in group accounting, consolidation, and IFRS, with a passion for delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting. Previous experience from Big4 is a merit.
  

• Hands-on mindset with a deep, first-hand understanding of the numbers to ensure the highest quality, accuracy, and integrity of financial reporting.
  

• Deep understanding of internal controls and the ability to maintain a robust, compliance-focused control environment.
  

• Track record of improving and streamlining financial processes, combining structure with innovation.
  

• Forward-thinking change leader who inspires others to embrace new ways of working, challenges the status quo constructively, and builds strong momentum for transformation across the organization.
  

• Proven ability to guide and develop finance teams, fostering engagement, growth, and adaptability.
  

• Excellent communicator who builds trust, aligns stakeholders, and translates complex financial matters into clear insights.
