Job Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for a Group Manager for our Heavy Vehicle ("HV") Area, where you will have personnel responsibility for a total of 12 employees and consultants in their day-to-day work. The area is responsible for several launched products with ongoing software development. In addition, new versions of existing products have been offered to customers, which may result in new hardware being developed in the near future. As a Group Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the development work.

Your responsibilities will include, among others:
  • Personnel management: You are responsible for ensuring that your employees thrive, develop, and are inspired to perform at their best during the workday.
  • Meeting planning: Plan and conduct weekly meetings with your team.
  • Performance and development reviews: Conduct employee development reviews and salary reviews.
  • Efficiency and training: Continuously ensure that the team works efficiently and, when necessary, identify and propose competence development initiatives.
  • Project management: Together with others in the area management team, ensure that projects are delivered according to plan, with the desired quality and within budget.
  • Networking: Build networks with external companies in Linköping and across Sweden, as well as internally within the ACTIA Group.
  • Process improvement: Together with other area managers within R&D, work to streamline and improve development processes within ACTIA Nordic.

We are looking for someone who has:
  • Education: A relevant university degree for the position.
  • Experience: Several years of experience working with complex system solutions and software development within embedded systems.
  • Leadership skills: Strong leadership qualities or previous experience with personnel management.
  • Agile/Lean: An understanding of Agile/Lean development and previous experience working in a project-based environment.

ACTIA Nordic is on a transformation journey where we are strongly focused on developing our leadership. Your leadership experience and motivation will therefore be central to our continued development.

To ensure a good match between you and the team, you should also have:
  • Experience working with complex systems: A solid understanding of complex system solutions and system development following standardized processes for quality, safety, or cybersecurity.
  • Technical competence: Experience with technologies such as real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded Linux, and Continuous Integration.

Personal Qualities:
To be successful in this role, we believe that you are:
  • Driven: Proactive in your own work and in achieving team results.
  • Communicative: Possess strong communication skills and are comfortable managing multiple interfaces and stakeholders.
  • Attentive: Responsive to others' messages and needs.
  • Detail-oriented: Work in a structured and thorough manner.
  • A leader: Passionate about leadership and with a strong interest in Agile/Lean development.
  • Innovative: Willing to challenge the status quo and contribute new perspectives and ideas.

We understand that reading a list of requirements and wondering whether you meet them all can feel overwhelming. Don't let that stop you from applying! What matters most to us is your willingness and drive to explore and develop your leadership.

We value strong motivation to support employee development and to contribute to our shared success.

Our Offer:
In the role of Group Manager within the HV Area, you will be offered a challenging and developmental position that we believe will provide you with valuable experience in both leadership and technology. In addition, based on your salary expectations, we will review your current compensation and take your other requirements into consideration.
