Then join our team, where you will have a significant role in developing and implementing a forward-looking governance framework across our distinct customer segments.Our Governance team facilitates transparent decision-making as part of Business Controls & Product Management (BCPM), the first line of. We work with stakeholders in Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers and Personal Customers, the Finland, Norway and Sweden Branches as well as seven product domains, to ensure decision-makers have an overview of risks the bank is facing as it implements the Forward ‘28 Strategy, delivering value not just to our customers but to society as a whole.
The Governance team acts as the secretariat for nineteen all-risk and product governance committees and product decision-desks. As secretariat we build risk-driven agendas, working with a wide network of stakeholders who work directly in the business with our customers and in the bank’s compliance, risk management, legal and audit functions. We help these stakeholders bring topics and cases forward for discussion and decision. Through collaborative relationships we work to safeguard and improve Danske Bank’s risk management governance frameworks and processes, its systems, products, services and data.

Shape Strategy, Drive Enhancement, Empower Stakeholders
As a Governance/Senior Governance Officer, you will expand your network within Danske Bank Group by improving how the bank makes risk-related decisions, promoting efficiency, transparency and above all good governance inside the bank at some of the highest management levels. Your tasks will include:
- Taking on secretariat responsibility for several product and all-risk decision-making bodies, planning and facilitating meetings and documenting decisions.
- Supporting the implementation of the Group Internal Governance Policy within the first line of defence, focusing on simplicity and continuous improvement.
- Contributing to an aligned, forward-leaning risk management agenda across Danske Bank’s business segments, its country branches and product domains.
- Improving the integration of technology and digital tools into how these forums are run.
- Developing and implementing process enhancements that drive the evolution of our risk agenda, shaping decision-making at the highest levels.
You will bring your expertise to the forefront with at least two years of experience in risk, compliance, governance, or related fields.
You have:
- A degree in law, political science, economics, finance, business or a related field – you will bring a strong academic foundation to our diverse team
- A minimum of two years of experience moving issues and decisions through a large organization that decides through delegated authorities and committees.
- A minimum of two years of experience with operational risk management or Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
- Very strong English skills, including proficient writing skills and the ability to facilitate dynamic, nuanced committee conversations.
- Detail-orientation and strong organizational and execution skills.
- Experience in the financial sector or another highly regulated industry is a distinct advantage.
- Experience working in a corporate secretariat is an advantage.
- Fluency in a Scandinavian language is beneficial
- Experience using Artificial Intelligence to improve productivity is an advantage.

Danske Bank has a wonderful new headquarters in central Copenhagen and is in the process of renovating its offices in Stockholm, Sweden. Danske Bank has an in-office policy of at least three days per week. Employees in Business Controls and Product Management are assigned three specific days per week to work in the office, which management can change based on operational need. Meaningful in-office attendance on these assigned days is a minimum requirement and a part of the contract. Pleaseindicate whether you prefer to work in Denmark or Sweden.
