Om jobbet

If you have a keen interest in FX markets and a particular interest for the Swedish economy and the Krona, this is the role for you!

In the Fixed Income and FX Research department we form views on the markets we cover and aim to give the best possible advice to our clients and stakeholders. We are now looking to strengthen the team with an FX strategist based in Stockholm. In Stockholm, we work closely with our macro economists, and together we form the view on the Swedish economy, the Riksbank, fixed income and FX markets. We are part of a wider Research organisation with Danske Bank, with close cooperation across countries and products.

Your responsibilities:
  • Special focus on the FX markets and Swedish Krona, working in close cooperation with other strategists.
  • You are expected from an early stage to give input on FX forecasts and Research products, such as daily and weekly written reports.
  • Based on our views on the economy, fixed income and FX markets you are expected to communicate our views in both written and oral communication to a wide range of recipients, ranging from SME clients to large institutions.
  • Eventually, the role will require you to represent Danske Bank across various media channels, including social media.
  • The role may require occasional travel.
Your profile:
You should have a genuine interest in the Swedish and global economy, financial markets, and particularly the FX market. You should have a strong theoretical foundation, but also curiosity and drive to always look for new angles and ideas. The role requires a lot of data analysis, so you should have experience working with econometric models and data. As important as the analysis we do is communicating our message. Therefore, it is essential that you have strong communication skills in both written and oral form and can tailor your message depending on the audience. Our culture is a strong part of our success, and it is important that you are a true team player.

Skills and requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant subject.
  • Prior experience from the FX market, ideally as an analyst.
  • Having worked with econometric models and forecasting.
  • Deep knowledge of tools such as Excel, Macrobond, and Bloomberg is needed and basic programming skills (e.g. VBA and Python) are beneficial.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.
  • A Swedsec license will be required for the role. If you don’t have it, you will be able to take it once you are on board.
