As the pioneeringFullstack Engineer for our SEO team, you have the unique opportunity to take full ownership and drive the evolution of our public-facing web platform. Your work will be central to building and optimizing a platform that attracts and converts high-intent users, directly enhancing our core business metrics and visibility in search engines.

You'll be at the forefront of Epidemic Sound's growth, taking ownership of our public-facing web platforms. This is a high-impact, data-driven team where you'll see the direct results of your work on the company's organic growth and revenue. You'll operate in a fast-paced environment, together with a team using A/B testing and quick iterations to optimize our user funnels and improve search engine performance. This role involves significant cross-functional collaboration, working closely not only with other engineering teams but also with our SEO, commercial, and marketing experts to drive our online presence forward.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Technical ownership: Taking ownership of key technical systems for our public website, including our CMS (Contentful), ensuring their continuous development, maintenance, and observability.
• Technical partnership: Act as the primary technical champion and spokesperson for the SEO team. You will be collaborating with the Acquisition engineering team to smoothly transition ownership and co-develop the infrastructure and user experiences that combine our public website with the main conversion funnels.
• Experimentation & optimization: Actively being part of driving experimentation and A/B testing to improve core metrics like conversion rates and user engagement, while also developing the tools to support this.
• Full-stack development with clear frontend focus: Handling full-stack development tasks, but with a primary focus on building world-class frontend experiences for our public website.
• SEO & performance: Building and monitoring solutions with SEO and performance top-of-mind, guarding our search ranking and optimizing for LLMs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack experience, with a specialization in modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Proven experience in a growth-engineering environment, specifically with experimentation (A/B testing) and using metrics to drive decisions.
• A highly autonomous and proactive mindset. You are comfortable being the sole technical owner and driving projects from ideation to completion.
• A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work effectively across different functions, disciplines, and product teams.
• Strong communication skills and experience driving technical initiatives from ideation to completion, influencing how your team collaborates and ships code.
• An "empowering initiator" attitude, you excel at taking ownership of projects while actively involving and empowering your peers to foster their growth.

Nice to Have

• Deep understanding of SEO best practices and web performance optimization
• Experience with Next.js (or other server-side rendering tools)
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS
• Familiarity with Contentful CMS
• Knowledge of observability tools (like Prometheus/Grafana) and GCP
