Your role and responsibilities

Are you a senior finance leader with a strong business mindset and the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution? Do you thrive in a role where you lead people, partner closely with the business, and drive financial performance?

In this role, you will act as a senior Finance Business Partner to the business management team and lead a local finance team within the Business Area Motion in Sweden. You will support strategic and operational decision-making by translating business priorities into robust financial plans, forecasts, and performance follow-up, while ensuring strong financial governance and transparency.

The work model for the role is on-site.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a senior Finance Business Partner, contributing to business strategy and translating strategic objectives into financial plans, forecasts, and measurable targets.
• Leading and developing a local finance team, ensuring the right structure, capabilities, performance, and ways of working.
• Driving business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance follow-up to optimize key business KPIs.
• Ensuring transparent, timely, and high-quality financial reporting, disclosures, and decision support in line with ABB's high standards.
• Defining, implementing, and continuously improving financial control processes, internal controls, and global and business-specific guidelines.
• Identifying financial risks and opportunities, assessing business risk exposure, and supporting mitigation actions to protect and improve business performance.
• Collaborating cross-functionally and across regions to support strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen financial governance.

Qualifications for the role

• Extensive experience in senior finance, controlling, or finance leadership roles in an international or complex business environment.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted finance partner to senior business stakeholders.
• Solid experience in people leadership, team development, and performance management.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear business actions.
• Deep knowledge of financial planning, reporting, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English with excellent communication skills.
