At Filed, we're building the future of expert tax collaboration - combining human expertise with AI to make complex tax work faster, smarter, and more precise.

We're looking for experienced tax professionals to review and refine complex individual tax returns (Form 1040). This is not basic prep work.

You'll be, amongst other things, working with high net worth clients who have intricate income structures, multiple entities, investments, and multi-state or international considerations.

You'll be the final set of eyes before a return goes out the door to our customers, ensuring it's accurate, complete, and optimized.

This is a seasonal job with an immediate start.

What You'll Do

• Review and edit advanced 1040 returns using Filed's AI-supported workflow
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and planning opportunities
• Provide concise, actionable feedback and corrections
• Collaborate with our internal tax and operations teams to ensure smooth, high-quality delivery
• Document what the system got wrong

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience reviewing or preparing complex individual returns (Form 1040)
• Strong background with high net worth individuals and intricate profiles (K-1s, stock options, trusts, multi-state filings, passive activity limitations)
• Ability to interpret complex returns, spot issues, and communicate clearly
• Comfortable working in a tech-enabled environment (familiarity with AI tools a plus)
• Proficiency with one or more major tax software platforms (Axcess, UltraTax, ProConnect, or Drake)
• CPA or EA preferred, though strong experience may substitute
• Availability during daytime hours (most clients operate during standard business hours)
