Your mission when joining the Energy Solution team at Einride will be to to play a key role in optimizing our charging infrastructure. As a Program Manager (BESS), you will lead the development, implementation, and operation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at our charging sites to optimize energy usage and grid stability. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from opportunity identification to operational handover, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.

As a Program Manager (BESS), you will lead the development, implementation, and operation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at our charging sites to optimize energy usage and grid stability. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from opportunity identification to operational handover, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
You will
- Lead the full lifecycle of BESS projects at charging sites: Drive development, implementation, and operational handover, ensuring optimal integration with charging infrastructure and alignment with business objectives.
- Optimize BESS deployment and operations: Develop and implement efficient processes, establish operational procedures, and coordinate technical support to meet targets for cost, quality, and uptime.
- Manage key partnerships and procurement for BESS: Oversee BESS vendors, suppliers, and installation partners, leading the procurement process and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement and reporting: Identify and implement improvements in BESS deployment, monitor project performance, and provide regular updates.
- Identify and pursue BESS business development: Explore new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and foster strategic partnerships.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy systems engineering or related technical field.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing the complete lifecycle of BESS deployment projects, including planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Have a deep understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) technologies, applications (including peak shaving, grid services), and their integration within energy infrastructure. As well as an understanding of BESS interaction with EMS.
- Have hands-on experience with BESS installation oversight and qualification process. A strong understanding of grid services and how a BESS can be used for energy trading/services.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of relevant BESS safety regulations, industry standards, and permitting processes
