Description of the position

The Accountant Manager EMEA is a new position within SWEP and will be responsible for driving the accounting agenda and development plan for the entities in the EMEA region. During 2024, SWEP has integrated with Dover Business Services, fundamentally changing the way of working within the Finance function. A key responsibility for the Accountant manager is to shape and lead the accounting team to adapting this change. Through strong accounting and leadership skills, the Accountant Manager is responsible for driving quality and efficiency, supporting the business in aligning financial processes with organizational goals. 

The Accountant Manager EMEA reports to BU Controller EMEA, and place of work is at SWEP's head office in Landskrona, Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:

The Accountant Manager is responsible for driving the accounting agenda and development plan for the companies in the region. 

A key responsibility is coaching and development of the accounting team in EMEA, ensuring the team has sufficient competencies and capabilities.

Supports organization's financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations and directing staff. 

Develop and maintain procedures and processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly-, quarterly- and year-end closings. 

Providing financial projections by collecting, analysing, and consolidating financial information, and advising departments on the collection and analysis of data. 

Harmonization of accounting processes across the region 

Ensure external and internal compliance. 

Enhance strategic thinking across the accounting team 

Work with ad hoc tasks to support business optimization and execution of regional strategic priorities.

Candidate's profile

Master's degree (or equivalent) in accounting. 

Extensive experience from corporate accounting

Excellent communication- and leadership skills

Demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, and integrity

Professional fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal

Understanding of finance and production processes, including ERP, BI, and related IT systems

Attention to details.

Focused on results.

Mindful of deadlines.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
