Driving technical excellence across high voltage cable projects

As Director Project Engineering offshore at NKT Transmission, you will lead a dedicated engineering department responsible for technical leadership in complex projects, competence development, and continuous improvement of processes and products. Lead and develop a high performing engineering department

In this role, you will lead the project engineering department within NKT transmission, ensuring that technical lead engineers are assigned to projects and that the department operates according to established processes. You will drive competence development, resource planning, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with NKT transmission goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining relevant instructions, managing budgets, and supporting product maintenance and development initiatives.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Assign technical lead engineers and distribute work across the department

• Set departmental goals aligned with NKT transmission strategy and ensure sufficient resources

• Maintain and update instructions, processes, and competency frameworks

• Oversee prestudies, product maintenance, and participation in development projects

• Manage budgets, appraisals, and weekly reporting to the UE Manager

You will collaborate closely with the technical management team and support other departments.

The position is located in Karlskrona, Sweden.

You also have:

* Experience leading engineering teams or technical departments

* Proven ability to manage budgets and resource planning

* Knowledge of process driven work within technical organizations

* Experience working with technical documentation and approval routines

* Familiarity with competence development frameworks

* Preferred: Experience from high voltage cable systems or similar industries

* University degree in Engineering
