Director or Senior Director - Enterprise Architect Strategy Leader - AI specialist

EPAM is seeking an Enterprise Architect Strategy Leader with a specialization in AI to lead the design, enablement and governance of our client's AI strategic vision as they embark on their multi-year AI journey.

This is a highly visible, senior-level role where you will partner closely with the client architecture teams, bringing your own architectural expertise to directly shape their AI roadmap, from analytical models to generative AI innovations, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure and future-ready AI capabilities that are deeply embedded into their business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and drive the end-to-end architectural design for enterprise-wide analytical and generative AI solutions
• Use AI to optimize core business processes, accelerate growth, and create innovative AI-driven services while ensuring strong compliance, governance, and risk management
• Translate business needs into robust, composable AI architectures and platforms
• Define and evolve a strategic AI target architecture that aligns with our digital and data vision
• Champion best practices in model deployment, MLOps/LLMOps and platform engineering
• Lead strategic decisions around "reuse, buy or build" for AI capabilities
• Act as a thought leader on composable architecture, model deployment frameworks and AI platform strategies
• Represent the AI architectural domain in governance forums and with senior leadership
• Enable centralized governance while supporting decentralized AI integration across teams
• Stay ahead of the curve by embedding emerging trends into our technical strategy

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture, with 5+ years focused on AI/ML
• Deep expertise in AI lifecycle management, MLOps, LLMOps and cloud-native AI platforms (Azure preferred)
• A proven track record of driving enterprise-scale AI initiatives across complex, matrixed organizations
• Strong understanding of data platforms, AI governance and security
• Industry visionary, avid technologist at heart and a senior proven leader who can drive enterprise scale solutions ensuring a common vision
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of business across different geographies to ensure strong lasting relationships
