The Role

As aDeep Learning Application Engineer, your mission is to ensure that every customer can leverage Embedl's SDK and research breakthroughs with confidence and speed. You will guide onboarding sessions, run deep-dive workshops, and build technical solutions that improve the customer experience and help our users succeed.

Responsibilities

• Build applications, and deep learning solutions that support real-world use of Embedl's products.
• Lead customer onboarding & workshops - Plan and run hands-on sessions that make complex topics approachable and actionable.
• Act as the technical bridge - Gather customer feedback, clarify requirements, and channel insights back to our technical and business teams.
• Prototype and benchmark deep learning models on edge and embedded hardware, helping customers validate performance and identify bottlenecks.

• A clear and confident communicator who can explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A curious and hands-on engineer with strong coding skills, eager to help deliver high-quality software.
• Enjoys solving challenging problems together with colleagues and customers.
• Independent and proactive, with the ability to take ownership and see things through.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent skills achieved through experience.
• Track record of presenting technical content, workshops, conference talks, or customer demos.
• 2+ years developing software in Python.
• Experience developing deep learning models using PyTorch, Jax, Keras and/or TensorFlow.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience of developing software in C++.
• Experience with model optimization techniques (pruning, quantization, NAS).
• Experience with inference acceleration on edge/embedded hardware.
• Experience with libraries for scientific computing, such as NumPy, SciPy and Matplotlib.
• Experience working in a Linux environment and experience with Git.
