Want to help build the data foundation for the future of mobility?

We're looking for a Data Engineer who wants to develop and drive our data platform forward - ensuring that reliable, high-quality data is available for analytics, AI, and business decision-making across the organisation.

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Cabonline, you'll design, build, and continuously improve our data pipelines and data platforms. You'll ensure that data is accurate, available, and actionable - while contributing to the development of architecture, ways of working, and standards across our data domain.

You'll work closely with analysts, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to translate data needs into robust engineering solutions, and play a key role in raising data maturity across the organisation.

The role is based in Stockholm with hybrid working and reports to the Head of CTO Office.

Your main responsibilities

Data Engineering & Delivery

Design, build, and maintain scalable pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from multiple sources

Ensure data quality, reliability, and freshness across all data products and domains

Drive the development and maintenance of data models supporting BI, analytics, and AI use cases

Uphold best practices for version control, testing, documentation, and code review - providing well-structured, trustworthy data foundations for analytics and ML development

Platform & Architecture

Contribute to tooling decisions, patterns, and standards within Cabonline's data ecosystem

Ensure cost-efficiency, security, and compliance across all data platform work

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with business stakeholders, AI engineers, and analysts to understand data needs and deliver robust engineering solutions

Participate in knowledge-sharing and contribute to raising data literacy within the team and Cabonline as a whole

We're looking for someone with

Hands-on experience designing and building production-grade data pipelines

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL

Experience with cloud data platforms and warehousing (e.g., AWS or GCP/BigQuery)

Solid understanding of ELT/ETL design patterns and distributed data processing

Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar

Experience with Git, testing, and CI/CD practices

Knowledge of data modelling and data governance principles

Meriting:

Experience with BI platforms such as Looker or Power BI

Experience working closely with AI or ML initiatives

As a person, you are

Structured and quality-conscious

Collaborative and communicative - comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams

Solution-focused and curious about new technology

We offer

A central role in shaping Cabonline's data and AI capability

Hybrid working with offices in Stockholm

Real influence over technology choices and ways of working

Application

We review applications on a rolling basis and the position may be filled before the final application date. Please submit your CV and cover letter via email.

We strive to be a workplace defined by diversity. We believe that multiple perspectives broaden our ability to reach our goals, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
