Data Engineer - Large scale data

We are looking for a Data Engineer for our client to join their product and engineering teams. The consultant will work with large-scale data generated by connected vehicles and help transform raw information into insights that support product decisions and quality improvements. The role focuses on bridging data, engineering, and verification teams to enable efficient and reliable data-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, verification, and analysis teams to interpret connected vehicle data.
• Analyse, correlate, and structure fleet data to support product quality, performance, and functionality improvements.
• Translate complex vehicle data into clear insights for engineers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to data structures, data pipelines, and tools enabling efficient processing and visualization.
• Ensure solutions support traceability and contribute to meaningful product outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong background in data engineering (data processing, transformation, large-scale datasets).
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and data quality.
• Experience working with connected vehicle data or similar large telemetry datasets.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of automotive technologies (sensors, ECUs, CAN, etc.).
• Experience interpreting fleet data for performance or feature validation.
• Background in automotive, embedded systems, or similar technical environments.

Contract type:Consultant assignment.
Start: As soon as possible.Location: Gothenburg Hybrid
