Core Gameplay DesignerWe are looking for an experienced Core Gameplay Designer to join our vehicle team on the next generation of Battlefield. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gameplay design, balancing, and implementation, as well as a passion for creating engaging and immersive player experiences.
You will own the end-to-end design of drivable combat vehicles, shaping how they move, fight, and integrate into combined-arms gameplay. The role covers vehicle roles and counters, tuning handling, weapon systems, damage models, and upgrade paths to ensure clear battlefield identity and balanced interaction with infantry, aircraft, and level design.
Working closely with physics, engineering, audio, VFX, and art, you will translate real-world inspiration into readable, fun mechanics, validated feel through constant playtesting and feedback.
Responsibilities:
Develop and document designs for new vehicle gameplay systems and vehicle content
Complete the sign off process for vehicle systems and content
Balance and iterate on vehicle designs, from prototype to feature complete
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement
Stay up to date with community feedback game and drive positive change
Participate in playtests to evaluate and iterate on gameplay mechanics
Ensure that all design work is executed to a high standard and is on schedule
Requirements:
Strong background in core gameplay design, balancing and implementation particularly on vehicle gameplay
Experience working on vehicle combat or driving
Strong understanding of first-person shooter genre and core gameplay
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for creating engaging and immersive player experiences
Strong understanding of game engines and scripting languages
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
