Are you interested in international infrastructure sales? We are now looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our team Strategic Projects during a parental leave from april 2026 to march 2027.As a Consultant within the business area Strategic Projects you will support Swedish companies in their single largest international business opportunities, mainly in infrastructure projects. The area is a central part of the Swedish Trade and Invest Strategy that aims to substantially increase the success of Swedish companies' export leading to economic growth and increased employment in Sweden. Several of the projects are also an important role of the Trade to aid strategy, supporting a sustainable development globally in collaboration with Swedish companies and collaboration partners.
You will be part of the team Strategic Projects at Business Sweden's headquarters, that leads and assigns projects worldwide. The support addresses single companies in their highest prioritized project export opportunities. Additional to the company representatives the project teams consist of personnel from Business Sweden's international offices, Embassies but also representatives from other relevant government authorities and promotion actors (together called Team Sweden). To strengthen our team further, we are now looking for a Consultant to join our team.
You need to be passionate about international sales and result driven, excellent in complex sales in international environments. You will be part of a team that acts with high-level relations and meetings with Swedish and International Executive management as well as with Ministers and government representatives. You need knowledge regarding complex tenders in the private and public sector, finance solutions and diplomacy.
You will be located at Business Sweden's headquarters in Stockholm but will be travelling internationally, including emerging markets in South America, Africa and Asia.
Responsibilities and work tasks
- Continuously identify, prioritize and qualify focus strategic projects together with companies, Business Sweden offices and Embassies.
- Update the common Team Sweden pipe-line (database) with project opportunities with business potential, development and sustainability contribution.
- Follow-up the progress, result and impact of the projects together with Business Sweden's international offices.
- Support the follow-up process of project progress and best practice documentation.
- Support to Swedish companies in their project sales strategy set-up and execution including stakeholder identification and management, business case development, competitor analysis and pricing strategies.
- Initiate promotion activities with Government offices and authorities in Sweden and internationally i.e. collaborate with industry organization and plan minister delegation.
- Support Swedish companies in tenders, financing of pre-studies, pilot installations and international financing solutions.
- Support Business Sweden's international offices in their advisory sales within the projects (all projects are co-financed).

Formal requirements
- You have a higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering.
- We believe you have a background as a management consultant and have at least 3 years relevant working experience. Strong in slide writing and data analysis.
- You are experienced and successful in sales of advisory services.
- You have very strong collaboration and communication skills as well as passion for growing Sweden and an ability to handle new challenges.
- You have a strong knowledge of the Swedish international corporations and the Swedish promotion agencies and systems.
- You are fluent in Swedish and English, additional languages as Spanish or French is a very strong merit.
