Commissioning Engineer
Location: Staffanstorp, Sweden
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term project assignment (Permanent conversion opportunity upon handover)
Expected Start Date: May-26
Duration: Full project commissioning lifecycle through operational handover, min 8 months to 12 months
Role Overview
We are looking for a heavy-hitting Commissioning Engineer to take ownership of a technical commissioning program for a massive greenfield food service manufacturing facility. You aren't just checking boxes; you are bridging the gap between a construction site and a fully operational, high-tech production plant.
What You Will Do
Lead the Program: Develop and own the detailed commissioning schedule, from cold trials to final performance qualification.
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Travel (20–30%) to vendors to push critical equipment through rigorous testing before it even hits the site.
Technical Execution: Oversee mechanical verification, loop checks, and the run-in of high-shear emulsification units, pasteurizers, and CIP systems.
Digital Integration: Collaborate with digitalization teams to verify MES/SCADA/DCS control logic and safety interlocks.
The Handover: Lead the technical preparation for Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR) and conduct formal system handovers to the operations team.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 6 years post-graduate, with at least 3 years on greenfield food, beverage, or pharma projects.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with emulsification, heat treatment, and CIP systems.
Languages: Professional English proficiency; Swedish language skills are a significant practical advantage.
Attributes: Ownership without boundaries. You see plant handover as a professional milestone, not an administrative task
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 45 000,00kr - 55 000,00kr per month
Work Location: In person
