Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm offers a wide range of language courses for the public. We are continually developing our range of courses and wish to connect with experienced language instructors who can teach adults for a few hours per week-mainly in the evenings.We are looking for Japanese language instructors for the spring semester, primarily for physical classroom courses in the evenings and on weekends.
Responsibilities
Teaching, preparing, planning, and following up on lessons. Taking part in course development as agreed.
Contributing to quality assurance by understanding participants' expectations before the course and evaluating feedback after the course ends.
Maintaining contact with participants between lessons regarding course content, such as preparation or homework.
What we're looking for
Language instructors at Folkuniversitetet must have:
Good IT skills.
Good administrative skills
Expertise in the subject/professional experience in Japanese.
Experience of teaching Japanese to adults.
Proficiency in Swedish and/or English.
Your proficiency in the teaching language should be equivalent to that of a native speaker, and we would prefer you to have a relevant academic degree. We are looking for someone who has the willingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, has good social and initiative skills, a positive attitude towards change and development, and shares the values of our organisation.
