Episurf Medical is a pioneer and a leader in the field of patient-specific implants for patients suffering from early osteoarthritis. The company has developed technology for treating painful joints, initially targeting the knee, ankle, and big toe. Now, the company is commercializing its technology globally after more than 10 years of extensive research and development work. Backed by multiple published studies, the company now targets the European and U.S. markets. In the U.S., Episurf Medical sees strong growth potential and expects the market to be a key driver. In Europe, the company recently transitioned to a distributor-based sales model.

Episurf Medical is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm's main market (EPIS B) and has its headquarters in central Stockholm. The company has about 25 employees, many of whom have been with Episurf for a long time. Main responsibilities

• Head of the Finance department and line manager of the finance team.

• Member of the management group, promoting communication and collaboration with other members to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.

• Ensure the high quality of monthly/annual financial statements and reports and compliance with laws, regulations, and Nasdaq requirements.

• Provide strategic support to the CEO, including preparing materials and providing insights for presentations and investor meetings.

• Act as Board secretary, coordinating and overseeing board-related financial reporting, including financial presentations, and documentation.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, ensuring effective utilization of financial systems (including Visma).

• Maintain internal control processes and assist with tax-related issues and the implementation of accounting principles.

• Manage administrative, HR, and IT tasks, ensuring smooth integration between customer systems, financial systems, and inventory management.

• Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, Nasdaq, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

Desired experiences and qualifications

• A degree in finance or equivalent.

• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work, including in-depth knowledge of accounting, group accounting, and IFRS.

• Competence in economic processes, including invoice handling, inventory management, and reporting.

• Experience in smaller companies, with a strong understanding of their operations and ability to thrive in an agile environment.

• Ability to manage multiple companies, including handling subsidiaries in Sweden and internationally, covering legal and regulatory aspects.

• Capability to review and optimize corporate structure to improve efficiency.

• Experience with companies in early-stage growth phases, especially publicly listed companies and their regulatory challenges.

• Ability to quickly grasp the company's products and processes, adapting to new challenges effectively.

• Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
