As a Buying Manager, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Buyers and Supply Planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. You will be responsible for contract setup, capacity management, order to delivery, KPI follow-up, and issue resolution. You will be responsible for tactical buying for the shopfitting categories and operating the shopfitting replenishment model.

As a Buying Manager, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Buyers and Supply Planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. You will be responsible for contract setup, capacity management, order to delivery, KPI follow-up, and issue resolution. You will be responsible for tactical buying for the shopfitting categories and operating the shopfitting replenishment model.
Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overall responsibility for managing contractual setup, capacity management, order placement, delivery follow-up, and issue resolution for the shopfitting categories. The area has over 100 suppliers across the world with over 30,000 orders placed and delivered.
- Responsible for operating the shopfitting replenishment model to secure supply while optimizing the TCO of the category.
- Oversee and guide the operational buying activities, ensuring that day-to-day procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals. Focus on streamlining operations, improving supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services as well as developing their performance over time.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Monitor and analyze procurement metrics, preparing regular reports for senior management to take informed decisions.
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance, retail, expansion and logistics, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with overall business operations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management roles.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience from a formal leadership role.
- Successful track record of motivating and developing teams and talents.
- Solid experience of end-to-end supply chain, i.e., from procurement to logistics.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in exposing data to enable quick and well-informed decision making
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
