Position Overview

The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying and developing strategic commercial opportunities for GigaScan AB in international markets. The role focuses on expanding the company's customer base, establishing partnerships with industrial manufacturers, and supporting the commercialization of advanced metrology and automation solutions.

The Business Development Director works closely with the CEO, engineering team, and international partners to translate technical capabilities into market opportunities and sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new market opportunities for GigaScan's industrial metrology and automation solutions.

Develop entry strategies for priority sectors including heavy industry, manufacturing, and advanced engineering.

Establish relationships with potential customers including OEMs, industrial manufacturers, and engineering companies.

Lead early-stage commercial discussions and technical qualification of customer applications.

Build relationships with distributors, technology partners, and system integrators in target markets.

Collaborate with company leadership to define pricing models, product offerings, and go-to-market strategies.

Contribute to the development of marketing materials, product messaging, and technical documentation.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business, economics, social sciences, or a related analytical field.

Experience

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or commercial strategy within industrial technology sectors.

Experience working with advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, or metrology equipment is highly desirable.

Demonstrated experience developing international markets and managing complex B2B sales processes.

Skills

Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing environments and engineering workflows.

Ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.

Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing strategic partnerships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Other

Experience working with international customers and cross-border business development.

Ability to travel internationally as required.
