Assignment Description:
We are looking for an Interim BI & Data Warehouse Consultant to join our team for a temporary assignment.
This is an interim role pending a permanent recruitment and requires a high level of independence, ownership, and delivery capability. You will be expected to quickly understand the existing BI environment and take full responsibility for business-critical data warehouses, data models, and reporting solutions.
What you will work on:
Take full ownership of data warehouses and associated data models supporting business-critical reporting
Work hands-on with SQL for data analysis, modeling, and data quality assurance
Design and model new data structures linked to ongoing and upcoming development initiatives
Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
Perform ongoing maintenance of existing BI solutions, including reports, models, and data flows
Ensure stability, performance, quality, and usability of BI deliverables
Lead and drive the continued development of data warehouse and BI tools
Collaborate closely with a small cross-functional team to identify and address new business needs for reporting and data visualization
Define requirements and develop data models in collaboration with technical product owners and architects
Act as the sole BI specialist in a small team, requiring strong ownership and independent execution
What you bring:
3-5 years of hands-on experience within BI, data warehousing, and data modeling
Very strong and confident knowledge of SQL
Experience working hands-on with data in production environments
Proven ability to work independently and take full responsibility for end-to-end BI delivery
Strong capability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing systems and BI landscapes
Experience developing and managing BI solutions and report structures
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on delivery and quality
Experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse is a strong advantage
Experience with Qlik for dashboard and report development is considered a plus
Experience with ETL tools, data pipelines, and large data volumes is beneficial
Background in retail or data-intensive environments is an advantage
