Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to drive innovation, elevate engineering practices, and ensure technological excellence across complex projects. In this role, you will serve as a technical authority, shaping design priorities, solving unprecedented challenges, and guiding colleagues in applying advanced engineering methods. Your expertise will directly influence the quality, safety, and performance of our solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Anticipate and resolve unprecedented design challenges, critical issues, and unique engineering conditions.
• Serve as a specialist in advanced engineering concepts, methods, and analytical approaches.
• Define focus areas and design priorities to ensure technological excellence across projects.
• Apply design thinking and design-for-excellence principles, including modeling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
• Conduct project peer reviews and perform design verification using checklists, standards, and engineering guidelines.
• Contribute to and facilitate workshops on engineering design, tools, and processes, sharing best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications for the Role

• Extensive experience solving complex, first-of-their-kind engineering design problems.
• Strong expertise in applying advanced engineering concepts, methods, and analytical tools.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor engineering colleagues in translating conceptual designs into high‑quality documentation.
• Proven track record developing, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and tools.
• Deep understanding of safety and cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements in engineering environments.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose meaningful improvements to tools and workflows.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• At least five years of industrial experience working with PLC programming and automation.
• Experience with ABB AC500 and other control system platforms.
• Strong advantage if you have experience in commissioning, service, or maintenance operations.
• Strong advantage for broad IT knowledge, including networks, switches, computers, and operating systems.
