Assignment Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join a well-established team in Karlskrona, working on high-impact projects in power and automation development. The facility features a modern production environment for high voltage (HV) and extra-high voltage (EHV) power cables, including the world's largest HVDC test lab.
In this role, you will serve as a technical resource for the production department, focusing on automation and electrical design. You will also contribute to the automation development group by evaluating and validating design solutions for both new and existing machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Program PLCs and design electrical systems for machines and production equipment
Develop both small- and large-scale automation solutions
Help create and improve routines and documentation for the automation development group
Participate in internal innovation forums focused on automation
Attend and contribute to automation development group meetings
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in automation engineering, programming, and projects within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of EPLAN, ABB, Siemens, and other relevant automation tools and platforms
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Thorough, responsible, and detail-oriented, with a collaborative mindset
Curious and eager to learn, with high-quality workmanship
Additional Requirements
Onsite work in Karlskrona is mandatory (no remote option)
Consultant must complete SSG Entrance training (cost covered by the consulting firm)
Equipment required:
Steel-toed safety boots
High-visibility vest (with consulting company logo)
Mobile phone
A drug test is required before the assignment begins
