Tetra Pak partners with the world's leading food producers to make food safe and accessible everywhere. Our homogenizer business is a strategic growth area, and we are now accelerating the shift towards digitally enabled, data‑driven equipment.
We are looking for an Automation & Digital Systems Expert who combines a strong background in industrial automation with a clear interest in data, connectivity and digital transformation. This role is critical in bridging today's automation solutions with the next generation of homogenizers, enabling smarter control, optimization and future digital services.
You will be part of the homogenizer team, working cross‑functionally with R&D, digital initiatives and system architects to ensure our equipment is aligned with enterprise platforms such as FactoryOS, and ready for evolving cyber and data security expectations.
The position is permanent and based in Lund, Sweden, with a global scope.
What you will do
As an Automation & Digital Systems Expert, you will be at the forefront of automation, digitalization and technology for high-pressure homogenization. In this role, you will:
Lead and develop automation solutions for high‑pressure homogenization equipment
Set direction for automation and digitalization within the homogenizer product portfolio
Enable data‑driven use cases such as advanced process control, optimization, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance
Contribute to the development and use of digital twins for performance analysis, testing and future equipment development
Align homogenizer automation with internal digital initiatives and technology standards
Ensure solutions take cyber security and data security into account in an evolving regulatory landscape
Follow and assess emerging technologies in automation, sensors, connectivity, and ML/AI‑enabled solutions
Support R&D projects, production and order fulfilment with deep system expertise
We believe you have
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or similar
Solid experience (typically 10+ years) in industrial automation, preferably within process industries
Strong knowledge of automation systems (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell) and system architectures
Interest and some experience in digitalization, industrial data or connected equipment
Exposure to topics such as digital twins, advanced sensing, industrial data platforms or cyber security is a plus
Ability to work across disciplines and influence without formal authority
Fluency in English
You are an experienced automation professional who is curious about the future of industrial equipment. You enjoy combining physical processes with digital and data‑driven thinking, and you see automation as more than just control systems. You are comfortable shaping direction, collaborating widely, and translating complexity into robust, long‑term solutions.
