Join our TeamAbout the Opportunity:
Join our innovative team to apply your expertise and elevate ASIC verification to the next level at Ericsson. We specialize in top-level verification of cutting-edge ASICs powering complex high-performance systems. Integrated multi-chip modules are replacing monolithic solutions. Our designs include hundreds of processor cores, DSPs, ARM cores, tailored hardware accelerator IPs, and high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, CPRI, and PCIe.
As an ASIC Top-Level Verification Engineer, you will be part of a team tackling some of the industry's most challenging verification tasks, ensuring that our ASICs meet high standards for performance, functionality, and security.
You will contribute to developing software-driven tests run in CI regressions on four platforms: SystemC/TLM simulation, RTL simulation, hardware emulation, and, eventually, on silicon. We are looking for someone to strengthen our team with respect to low power verification. Prior experience is preferred, but other matching experience and a strong desire to learn are welcome.Depending on project needs, you might spend significant time on testcase development not related to low power verification.
What you will do:
• Define and document verification strategies for the assigned portions of the ASIC as a verifier. Inputs include ASIC requirements, specifications, and information from interactions with various stakeholders.
• Participate in the specification and development of software-driven tests written in C.
• Debug RTL designs with the aid of EDA simulation tools and SW debuggers.
• Contribute to keeping tests clean in the CI regression running on our four platforms.
• Beyond RTL simulations, you will debug failing test cases on SystemC/TLM simulation, hardware emulation, and silicon mounted on boards in the lab.
• Regardless of role or experience, all team members are encouraged to contribute to our shared goal of developing and strengthening the team by sharing knowledge and supporting one another.
Skills you bring:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Solid C programming skills targeting ASICs or other embedded software
• Solid RTL debugging skills in SystemVerilog or VHDL designs
Desired knowledge and experience in Low Power verification
• Experience with power-aware verification (digital, not mixed signal)
o Create power verification planning and strategy
o Prepare power-aware simulation environments
o Simulate and debug power-aware simulations
• Understanding of power techniques (e.g., CG, PG, MV, DVFS, MEM modes)
• Understanding of power intent formats (e.g., UPF or CPF)
• Experience in power-aware GLS
• Experience using formal methods for power verification
Desired skills:
• HW/SW co-debugging using SW debuggers for C-code running in the ASIC, preferably multi-core designs
• XPROP and GLS with timing
• Debugging tests running on HW Emulators and/or Silicon
• Simulating and debugging tests running on SystemC/TLM platforms
Soft Skills:
• Open, inclusive mindset embracing diversity in culture, nationality, gender, etc.
• Collaborative approach with a focus on team productivity and mutual growth
• Strong drive for innovation with proactive interest in refining verification methodologies
• Clear communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination across diverse teams
