Join a diverse R&D team as the ASIC Line Manager for JOR IP2, leading a group of 14 ASIC developers primarily focused on Ethernet IP implementation. The team operates in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment where clear communication and knowledge sharing are valued. This role is responsible for enabling deliveries on current projects and launching pre-development activities toward the end of 2026, while fostering a trusting and supportive team culture. A key part of the role is to drive change: lead improvements in ways of working, toolchains and team practices to increase efficiency, quality and adaptability.
What you will do:
- Lead and coach a multidisciplinary ASIC development team, providing clear direction, support and performance management.
- Enable successful delivery of ongoing project milestones by removing obstacles, coordinating resources and aligning priorities.
- Drive the startup of pre-development activities and plans to meet targets through the end of 2026.
- Proactively drive change initiatives across the team and R&D processes-identify improvement opportunities, define change plans, secure stakeholder buy-in and lead implementation.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages information exchange, learning and cross-functional cooperation.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, product and stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical and schedule objectives.
- Promote best practices in ASIC development and R&D processes and support continuous improvement of team workflows, including adoption of new tools, automation and verification practices.
- Recruit, retain and develop talent; identify skill gaps and enable on-the-job learning and training.
The skills you bring:
- Proven people management experience with strong listening, coaching and leadership skills.
- Background in R&D environments and familiarity with ASIC development processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver change initiatives-able to translate improvement ideas into actionable plans and drive adoption across teams.
- Ability to drive collaboration, build trust and enable effective exchange of information within and across teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management capabilities; pragmatic decision-making.
- Comfortable balancing delivery commitments with longer-term process and tool improvements.
Preferred:
- Hands-on technical experience with Ethernet IP implementations.
- Deep domain expertise in specific ASIC design tools or flows (can be developed while in role).
- Advanced technical mentoring in ASIC verification or physical implementation.
