The company's operations span everything from marine safety equipment, technology trade, to the delivery of components and services for energy efficiency of industries and properties. Ernströmgruppen currently consists of more than 50 companies with a total turnover of around SEK 5 billion and has over 1500 employees in the Nordic region and Northern Europe. Ernströmgruppen's office in central Gothenburg has a team of 12 people.

The role
As an AI Intern at Ernströmgruppen, you will be an integral part of our efforts to modernize and streamline processes across sales, operations, and acquisitions using AI and automation technologies. You will help us identify, evaluate, and implement tools that make our organization more efficient, scalable, and data-driven. Examples of work tasks includes:

• Identifying AI or automation opportunities within sales, operational workflows, and acquisition processes.
• Evaluating AI tools and platforms, ranging from no-code automation to advanced machine-learning-based solutions.
• Supporting implementation of AI-driven workflows across different companies within the group.
• Assisting in assessing potential impact, feasibility, and ROI for AI use cases.
• Conducting research on emerging AI technologies, trends, and market developments.
• Collaborating with various business units to design prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions.

We are looking for you who are about 2-4 years into your education. You are most likely studying Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar with a strong interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation. You bring curiosity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently on both short and long projects.

The scope will be about 20-50% of full time, depending on your study situation and our needs. The position is based at our office in Gothenburg. We look forward to welcoming you during the spring of 2026.
