Are you passionate about energy transformation and driven to propel sales in the global energy market? Aurora is seeking a dynamic Account Team Manager for our Account Management team to join our innovative European division. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in managing accounts and developing sales opportunities within our existing energy market subscriptions.
As Team Manager, you'll inspire and drive your team to engage with leading companies, focusing on building and nurturing relationships while delivering tailored Market Analysis solutions. This position involves leading a team dedicated to all aspects of client interaction and business development across our full product range. Your expertise in the energy sector will be essential in crafting and implementing strategies that enhance Aurora's market presence and global impact.
In addition, you'll bring a strong understanding of contracting, enabling you to guide your team in effective contract management and compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a proven track record of exceeding targets, and a strong commercial mindset. Excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential, along with a keen interest in energy markets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead team of Account Associates and support them to develop deep client relationships with strategically important accounts and fostering a thorough understanding of client needs.
- Ensure exemplary customer service by setting high standards within the team. Monitor deliverables to ensure they are met and implement strategies to maximise senior-level engagement and effectively address client needs, enhancing overall client satisfaction.
- Drive growth opportunities by supporting your team to identify and analyse expansion opportunities within your team's portfolio of accounts. Develop and lead strategic plans for cross-selling and up-selling Aurora's full range of services to increase account value.
- Manage the opportunity pipeline by overseeing the use of Salesforce CRM for tracking and reporting on opportunities and ongoing account plans. Ensure the team follows up on potential leads in a timely manner to optimise sales processes.
- Facilitate client onboarding by ensuring a smooth transition for new clients and guiding the onboarding process.
- Oversee and support your team in complex negotiations, ensuring successful outcomes and long-term client satisfaction.
- Train your team to deliver effective product demos by giving presentations of our analytics and software services to clients globally, highlighting the value and capabilities of our offerings.
- Monitor service delivery by maintaining high standards across workshops and client events , ensuring consistent client satisfaction.
- Address underperformance by proactively identifying and engaging with your team to implement strategies that address issues and improve overall engagement.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 2 years of proven experience as an Account Management Team Lead, ideally within the subscription-based data and energy analytics sectors. Experience in similar high-tech or data-centric industries will also be considered.
- Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding client satisfaction and retention targets. Evidence of strategic planning and execution that has led to significant improvements in account performance.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to creatively identify and seize opportunities that drive substantial impact and profitability. Proven capability to strategize and implement innovative account management approaches.
- Ability to remain composed and focused under high-pressure situations.
- Skilled in overseeing complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders, ensuring favourable outcomes for all parties involved.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a high level of persistence and meticulous attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage a team of account managers while maintaining high standards of quality.
- A proactive and can-do attitude with a strong willingness to contribute beyond the standard role, including improving internal systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Enthusiastic about and well-versed in energy markets and technologies. Previous professional experience in energy and power markets is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical abilities with a background in business, economics, engineering, or a related field. Ability to analyse data and market trends to inform strategic account decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively. Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members.
- Proven track record of success in collaborative, team-oriented environments. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in an additional European language is highly desirable
